Early last month, I enjoyed the distinct pleasure of collaborating with one of my favorite journalists, A.V. Flox, on an article exploring Asian stereotypes. Specifically, her project was to focus on stereotypes of Asian females; however, as Ms. Flox has known me for what seems like forever and is in fact like a surrogate little sister to me (um, and therefore knows my history of “affections” for Asian males), she asked to interview me for the gay angle on Asian male stereotypes. Of course, I was thrilled to oblige.
Now, it is no secret how I feel about stereotypes of Asian men; for example, even Vanity Fair’s James Wolcott’s blog was immediately stripped from my blogroll for his offensive remarks on the topic. However, as per usual, Ms. Flox writes on the topic with far more wit and aplomb than do I.
Therefore, I am pleased to announce the article’s publication debut over at Black Heart Magazine. You may find the article here. Go read it; it is a fascinating piece that includes a, um, wide variety of perspectives.
(P.S. That guy in Hawaii who is so not a Rice Queen? That’s me.)

Oh, you are SO fabulous!
No. We’re SO fabulous! *wink*
